Nothing to See Here 7/1/07
7/1/07 - Really.
12/1/05 - Inside the Actors Studio. Now with more obscure inside jokes and weird references than ever before.
4/24/04 - Added the Corner Plasma Escape to Stupid Fed Tricks in SFC2. By the way the re-premiere went pretty well.
4/15/04 - How do you get a guitar player to turn down? Put a part in front of him! All this and far less at the "re-premiere" of the piece about cannibal Scots on Monday, April 19, 6:30PM at Patrick's (3010 Minnehaha Ave. S.). I have to conduct this time. (Super teeny-weeny eye-strain-o-vision study version also available.)
2/13/04 - For people who really want to numbercrunch in White Wolf systems, or the very bored, added a brief Probability Chart for rolls of 1-7 dice at difficulty 6-8 in the White Wolf system. LATER: Added charts for difficulties 9 and 10, to illustrate the weirdness of the WW system at very high difficulty ratings. Also tagged on the little proglet that calculates these results, still in progress. It's weird that I got any feedback at all on this, but I have. :P LATER: Added statistical data for 8 and 9 dice and a new proglet.
11/6/03 - If you've ever wanted to see composers bite their fingernails down to the bone while a jazz orchestra sweats through really difficult world premieres (generally translates into "last performances") of their works with insufficient rehearsal time, one of my pieces is being premiered at Patrick's Cabaret (3010 Minnehaha Ave S. at Lake in Minneapolis) on Monday the 10th, 6PM. Follow the score if you like. I'll be hiding in a fake nose and glasses smoking furiously.
10/10/03 - No doubt the first of a series of dissatisfied grumblings about Star Wars Galaxies.
7/4/03 - .notplan updated basically to tell eveyone that the idea of making another server in light of recent ingenious Bioware innovations is totally unfeasable. On the other hand, Star Wars Galaxies is really surprisingly good (at least for now).
4/30/03 - .notplan updated. It seems stupid to update the front page for every dumbass .notplan update, so I'll just forget about it for now.
4/22/03 - More .notplan stuff as Kynn breaks all my shit.
4/7/03 - Updated the .notplan.
4/3/03 - This is only here to shame me into action. My .notplan.
4/2/03 - Since Wen dragged me out of the house to do something in the big scary outside world, I figured I may as well get some sort of flimsy content out of it. How to Get Your Live Band to Sound Better. Kynn and I have enlisted Wi into our next NWN project that I hope never goes live, so I don't have to administer it. Stay tuned.
3/18/03 - In case you haven't noticed (as is usually the case with me) the Forums have been replaced. The old forums are in fact back up and running, but I'm too lazy to relink. If you want to see the old forums, you can access them here for a while.
3/16/03 - Because a few people have inexplicably requested it, a Three Towns Postmortem has been added. Now leave me alone.
2/21/03 - Having managed to pawn off Three Towns on an unsuspecting player in Scotland, I've been catching up on real life issues like making enough money to buy food, petting dogs, writing music, and wailing at the state of the game industry. I somehow remembered that I did play a few new games recently, though they were either so incredibly unremarkable or just plain bad that I've pushed them out of my mind, instead playing Jagged Alliance 2 maniacally again. Still, I managed to remember enough about them to toss up a couple of new bad reviews for Hegemonia and Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries. I think I may have also played O.R.B., Sim City 4, Hitman 2, Warcraft 3, and some other drek. I may manage to write a review for them longer than two words someday.
12/23/02 - Added a film to Stupid Fed Tricks and a little note about the changes to EM in SFC2 patch 2.036. Meanwhile, for some strange reason Three Towns remains popular, despite the fact that we've been horribly neglecting it for weeks now. There is no patch to fix players.
10/9/02 - In my tradition of not doing anything until I remember that it might be a good idea, usually after about 30 hours without sleep, I have stuck up a lame page about the Neverwinter Nights server. Now to figure out why nobody likes it. :P
8/28/02 - More nonsense in NWN for those who like to keep up with the latest development in yet another potentially great game derailed by insanely horrible QA and development procedures.
8/8/02 - Settled in finally in our fabulous new pad away from insane pathological liars who have sex with cats, Wen and I have been incredibly lazy. Well no, I've been incredibly lazy, and while she does things that keep us alive I can't even update the page. However, I have found time to do hours on hours of horrible scripting for a game whose publishers insist on breaking it all the time. Yes, that's right... Neverwinter Nights. Oh yeah, and use this forum.
5/27/02 - With soooo much going on in the world of gaming, how can I not update? Because it all sucks. In the meantime, I'll be changing message boards shortly as I've heard that Beau and Jin Lee and other people who use 2 paper cups and a piece of string to connect have problems seeing Gamers.com. If you want to break in to the new board while I'm still screwing up the color scemes and making it unusable, click here. Thanks to Slite at Vitae Rising for returning purpose to Beau's life.
4/16/02 - Added 4 films to Stupid Fed Tricks, since nobody can watch the old ones anymore under the latest patch.
3/21/02 - Added some more obvious and elementary crap to Stupid Fed Tricks while burning out: Big Hull Little Hull and The Decoy Frigate.
The
# of people who have come to the site since it moved domains on 7/15/99 and stopped
publishing new UO stories, which were its biggest attraction, is.
I bet there were a lot more before all this happened.
This site is hosted by Dreamhost, an excellent hosting company. If you sign up with them, click on the little thingy under here and don't enter a code, or else say "howardcollins@comcast.net" sent you. Then I can afford to keep not updating.
